PROS:

Cons: 

• Hard Underfoot: Firmer underfoot, less cushioning than WPC
• Cold Surface: Feels colder underfoot, especially over concrete subfloors without added insulation.
• Subfloor Requirement: Needs a smooth, level surface to prevent unevenness or damage.
• Not scratch-proof: Even though its durable, it can still be scratched by sharp object or heavy furniture.

Suitable Surfaces

• Well- bonded solid floors; dry, clean well-cured concrete (cured for atleast 60 days prior); wood floors with plywood on top. All surfaces must be clean and dust free, Can be installed over radiant heated floor (do not turn heat above 29 degree C or 85 degree F

Unsuitable Surfaces

• Rough, uneven surfaces including carpet. Rough, heavy textured and/or un-even surfaces may telegraph through the vinyl and distort the finished surface. This product is not suitable in rooms that could potentially flood or rooms that have damp concrete or saunas. Do not install this product in areas which are exposed to long term direct sunlight such as sun rooms or solariums.
• Installing SPC flooring on an  uneven surface or subfloor that isn't level can lead to buckling, gaps, or uneven wear over time. Even though its rigid and durable it still needs a flat surface to perform properly. 

   

• The vinyl planks should be allowed to acclimatize at room temperature (approx. 20 degree C) for 48 hours prior to installation. Carefully check planks for any defects before installation. Check that all BATCH NUMBERS and ITEM NUMBERS are the same and that you have purchased sufficient material to complete the job. Remove any traces of glue or residue from the previous flooring.

 

• New concrete floors need to dry out for at least 60 das prior to installation. Wood plank floors require a plywood subfloor. All nail heads must be driven down below the surface. Securely nail all loose boards. Scrape, plane or fill uneven boards, holes or cracks using floor-leveling compound if sub-floor is uneven - over 1/8 in within a span of 4ft. If installing over existing tile, use a floor levelling compound to skim coat grout lines. Make sure the floor is smooth, clean, and free of wax, grease, oil or dust and sealed as necessary before laying planks. 

• Utility knife, spacers, pencil, tape measure, ruler and safety goggles.

• Start in a corner by placing the first plank with the tongue side facing the wall. Use spacers along each wall to maintain an expansion space of 5/16 in - 3/8 in between the wall and the flooring.
• To attach the second plank, insert the end tongue into the end groove of the very first plank at an an angle of approx. 15-20 degrees. when lowered, the plank will click into place. Line up edges carefully. The planks should be flat to the floor.
• Continue connecting the first row until you reach the last full plank. Fit the last plank by rotating the plank 180 degree with the pattern side upward, place beside row. Measure and mark then using a ruler and utility knife, score the plank and snap off. 
• Begin the next row with the off cut piece from the previous row to stagger the pattern. Pieces should be a minimum of 8" long and join offset should be at least 16 in.
• NOTE: It is faster to assemble planks into a new row at the ends and then attach the entire row to the previous row on the long sides.
• To start your second row, lay your first plank on the subfloor. Take your second plank, insert the end tongue into the end groove of the first plank at an angle of approx. 15-20 degrees. When lowered, the plank will click into place with light pressure. The planks should be flat to the floor. Make sure gaps are as small as possible. continue assembling the planks this way until you have your second row complete. 
• To attach the second row to the first row, tilt and push the side tongue into the side groove of the first panel at an angle of approx. 15-20 degrees. Lower and click into place lining the edges up carefully. Continue laying remaining planks in this manner. 
• To fit the last row, lay a plank on top of the previous row. With the tongue to the wall, lay another plank upside down on the one to be measured and use it as a ruler. Don't forget to allow room for spacers. Cut the plank and attach into position.
• Door frames and heating vents also require expansion room. First cut the planks to the correct length. Then place the cut plank next to its actual position and use a ruler to measure the areas to be cut out and mark them. Cut out the marked points allowing the necessary expansion distance on each side. 
• You can trim door frames by turning a plank upside down and using a handsaw to cut away the necessary height so that planks slide easily under the frames.
• NOTE: If the total length of installation are is over 33ft, it must be left an expansion of 5/16 in - 3/8 in, and so on..
• If the total width of installation area is over 26ft, it must be left an expansion space of 5/16 in- 3/8 in, and so on..
• If not, were not responsible for any damages or claims after installation.

• Sweep regularly to remove surface grit and dust. Use a damp cloth or mop to clean up any dirt and footprints but avoid using excessive moisture. All spills should be cleaned up immediately. CAUTION: Planks are slippery when wet
• Do not use a wet spray micro fiber mop. Never use was polish, abrasive cleaners or scouring agents as they may dull or distort the finish.
• High hells can damage floors. Use protective pads under furniture. Use doormats at entrance ways to protect floor from discoloring. Do not allow pets with unclipped nails to scratch or damage the floor.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for pro-longed periods of time. use drapes or blinds to minimize direct sunlight during peak sun-light hours. 
• It's a good  idea to save a few planks in case of accidental damage. Planks can be replaced or repaired by a flooring professional. 

• This guarantee is for replacement or refund of the vinyl plank flooring only, no labor (including the cost of labor for installation of the replacement floor) or costs incurred with loss of time, incidental expenses or any damage. It does not cover damage from improper installation or maintenance, burns, tears, indentations, stains or reduction in gloss level due to normal use and or exterior applications.
• 25 Year Residential Warranty
• Our 25 year Residential warranty for vinyl plank means that for 25 years, from the date of purchase, your floor will be free from manufacturing defects and will not wear through or permanently stain from common household stains when installed and maintained according to instructions supplied with each carton. 
• 10 Year Commercial Warranty
• Our 10 year Commercial Warranty for vinyl plank means that for 10 years, from the date of purchase, your floor will be free from manufacturing defects and will not wear through when installed and maintained according to instructions supplied with each carton. Improper installation or workmanship should be directed to the contractor who installed the floor.

Claims

• This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and proof of purchase is required for all claims. Claims for wear must show a minimum dime size area. This guarantee is pro-rated  based on the amount of time the floor has been installed. If you wish to file a claim under warranty

General Policy

• Store Credit Only: All approved returns will issued as store credit. No cash or credit card refunds
• Original  Invoice Required: Returns and exchanges must be accompanied by the original invoice.
• Return Window: Items must be returned within 21 days of purchase.

Non-Returnable Items: 

• Moldings & Accessories: All moldings and accessories for cabinets and flooring are non-returnable.
• Opened Boxes: Only unopened boxes in original condition are eligible for return or exchange.

Fees & Deposits:

• Restocking Fee: A 30% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns and exchanges.
• Non-Refundable Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable.

Measurement Responsibility:

• DellWood Kitchen is not responsible for cabinet exchanges due to incorrect measurements provided by the customer.

Preparation & Carrier Responsibility

• Once items are paid in full, we will prepare your order for shipment and provide the necessary dimensions and weight for carrier arrangements.
• Customers are responsible for selecting and coordinating with their own shipping carrier. All shipping costs must be paid directly to the carrier.
• DellWood Kitchen & Floor inc does not arrange or pay for shipping services. Our role is limited to packaging the items securely for transit.

Palletization Fee

• A pallet fee will apply to all shipments requiring palletization.
• This fee varies based on the size and type of pallet used and will be calculated at the time of packaging.
